Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive Beijing (No meal)

On arrival in Beijing, China's capital, you will be greeted by our local English speaking tour guide at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of day is free for you to have some rest or wander around the hotel.

 

Day 02 Beijing (B/L)

In the morning, visit Ti’ananmen Square and the royal residence The Forbidden City. Afterward, you will be transferred to watch the Bird's Nest and Water Cube and take photos from the outside. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace.

 

Day 03 Beijing (B/L)

This morning, you will be led to the vast Temple of Heaven, a venue for ancient emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties to pray for good harvest and worship heaven. Then, transferred to Mutianyu Great Wall section which is less crowded and more beautiful about 2 hours driving and take the round-way cable car to admire the magnificent view of the snaking Wall.

 

Day 04 Beijing/Urumqi (B/L)

Morning tour to  explore the narrow and clean Hutongs by taking a rickshaw in Xicheng District. Then, take a family visit in the Hutong to have a glance at the life of the local people. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport and fly to Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. You will be greeting by our guide and transferred to the hotel.

 

Day 05 Urumqi (B/L) 

Full day escorted tour to Erdaoqiao Bazzar which is the most popular and largest local market in Urumqi. You can find all kinds of things like fruits, foods, clothes, handicrafts and so on. Continue visit to Xinjiang Museum where collecting cultural relics like wood, silk, bronze, currency, paintings, etc. The most impressive one is the well-preserved collection of corpses over 4000 years which discovered underneath the Silk Road.

 

Day 06 Urumqi/ Turpan (B/ L)

Drive to Turpan about 3 hours; visit the famous ruin of Jiaohe Ancient City. Then, tour to Karez System which is a unique underground irrigation system in the desert. After lunch, continue to Emin Minaret.

 

Day 07 Turpan/ Dunhuang (B/ L)

In the morning, you will be escorted to visit Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves which was the Buddhist center of the ancient Gaochang people. There are many Buddhist murals and statues well preserved here. Afterward, visit the Flaming Mountain which is famous for its high temperature. After dinner, take a overnight train in soft sleeper to Dunhuang.

 

Day 08 Dunhuang (B/ L)

You will be picked up at Dunhuang Liuyuan Railway Station which is about 2 hours driving from Dunhuang city and tranfered to hotel for refreshment. After breakfast, visit famous Mogao Grottoes which are the largest and best preserved Buddhist caves in China. It is usually praised as the glittering pearl brightening the silk road. Then, visit Dunhuang Museum.

 

Day 09 Dunhuang/ Xi'an (B/ L)

Morning tour to Echoing-sound Mountain and Crescent Lake which is the only oasis among the desert which existing for hundred years. After lunch, take a flight to Xi'an and have a rest.

 

Day 10 Xi’an (B/L) 

In the morning, visit the magnificent archaeological discovery, The Terracotta Warriors. Then you will be transferred back to town and visit the Ancient City Wall and the Muslim Quarter.

 

Day 11  Xi’an/Shanghai  (B/L)

Morning tour to Shaanxi Provincial Museum. Then drive to the airport and take a flight to Shanghai. You will greeting by our local tour guide in Shanghai and transferred to hotel. Free day for the rest of day.

 

Day 12 Shanghai (B/L)

In the morning, tour to the Shanghai Museum. Afterward, take a walk around the bundNanjing Road. After lunch, visit Yu Garden, Shanghai Old townFrench Concession and then track back to hotel.

 

Day 13 Depart Shanghai (B)

Transfer to the airport for the flight home or your next destination and see you off.
